Long Lasting

In our most recent collaboration, Ariel Goldberg and I investigated language through merchandise. Posing as a married couple and using the scanning device provided as part of the wedding registry, we visited stores on multiple occasions and scanned items that reflected the concept of Long Lasting. The resulting text was generated by the descriptions of scanned products.

Constraint

In an ongoing project, Ariel Goldberg and I transplant our studio practices to various constrained environments to test the limits of production. In our first trip, we traveled to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on American Airlines. The only supplies we were allowed to take on board were pen, paper and a camera. Once we arrived at Ft. Lauderdale, we immediately re-boarded the plane to travel back to New York, working in our seats again. Our second trip was on the B1 bus, traveling from Park Slope, Brooklyn to the ocean and back. The ride was bumpy, crowded and long.
